Dr.Chap Clark

As a former pastor of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, CA, a professor and vice provost at Fuller Seminary, and a 15-year leader on Young Life staff, Chap has given his life to the encouragement and empowerment of young people and those who work with and for them.

A well-respected researcher and scholar, Chap has given his life to the well-being of young people as he equips organizations and individuals to have a greater understanding of millennials and Gen Z. Through March 2018, Chap served as professor of Practical Theology and Youth, Family, and Culture at Fuller Theological Seminary. Additionally, he served seven years as Vice Provost at Fuller, where he was responsible for regional campuses and strategic initiatives. Before teaching, Chap was on Young Life staff for 15 years as an Area and Regional Director.  Other notable positions Chap has held include: Senior Editor of YouthWorker Journal, Senior Pastor at St. Andrew’s, a Sojourner contributing writer and “Red Letter Communicator,” a consulting producer for a reality television production company, and currently President of two nonprofit organizations. The first is ParenTeen™, which helps adults to understand and respond to the developmental needs of adolescents and emerging adults. The second is Institute for Ministry Leadership, which equips local congregations to create a unique leadership institute for recent college graduates. Chap coaches, consults, speaks, trains and encourages communities, schools, parents, churches, and businesses in his roles with IML and Parenteen. He is also the author/co-author of 25 books, including the award-winning Hurt 2.0: Inside the World of Today’s Teenagers, Sticky Faith, Deep Justice in a Broken World, and Adoptive Church. 

Chap and his wife Dee, L.M.F.T. and equine-assisted psychotherapist (www.healingreins.com), have three grown children, five grandchildren, and live in Gig Harbor, WA.

Scott Cody

Scott Cody is an accomplished leader, consultant, and educator in the field of family ministries, currently focused on church planting and leadership development through the Institute for Ministry Leadership (IML). With years of experience, Scott is passionate about resourcing leaders, equipping individuals and church teams with practical, strategic tools for expanding their ministry impact.

Scott’s work with IML allows him to consult with organizations and individuals, helping them identify and reach their full potential in leadership, discipleship, and church growth. His academic background, which includes a B.A. from Azusa Pacific University, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Seminary, emphasizes practical theology, youth, family, and culture, which informs his approach to ministry leadership.

With a strong background in church planting and leadership development, Scott is a key resource for church leaders seeking to increase their influence. He has worked closely with Dr. Chap Clark since 2015, partnering in leadership mentoring and launching IML to provide top-tier pastoral coaching, church consulting, and theological training.

Committed to helping churches and individuals, Scott Cody continues to make a positive impact through IML by equipping leaders with the tools they need for sustainable and effective ministry growth.
